Coy Wolf Procession

Sometimes the best way to care for one another is to play together.

This sunset procession was organized during an artist residency on Bald Head Island, NC. Attendees included artists from Turkey, Japan, Spain, Wales, and the United States. After creating a Coywolf-god headdress, I invited residents to partake in a ritual on the beach. The spontaneous response resulted in a menagerie of costumes and characters that felt magical, maybe even religious – in an older way, when the sacred was tied to the earth and the stars.
